Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Emergency Medicine Physician role based in Ruston, Louisiana. The Emergency Medicine Physician will be responsible for providing timely and high-quality medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses or injuries. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and managing emergency health conditions, performing medical procedures, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and policies. Physicians are also expected to maintain accurate patient records and prioritize the delivery of compassionate and effective care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine residency program
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license in Louisiana or the ability to obtain one
  • Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing acute and emergent conditions
  • Proficiency in performing emergency medical procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and chest tube insertion
  • Experience working effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and team collaboration skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and adherence to ethical medical practice
  • ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications are preferred
  • Experience in rural or critical access hospitals is a plus
