Position Overview

The College of Engineering and Science at Louisiana Tech University solicits applications for a tenure-track faculty position with focus in civil engineering and related areas.

Candidates must hold a doctorate or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field. We are particularly interested in candidates with research interests fields congruent with Louisiana Tech’s Research Centers, including the Trenchless Technology Center (TTC) and Institute for Micro Manufacturing (IfM): ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).).

Aligned with one of the research centers, successful tenure-track candidates are expected to actively participate in multidisciplinary research efforts; initiate, build and sustain an externally funded research program; and supervise masters and doctoral students. Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong teaching skills, and a commitment to high quality university and professional service are also expected. The College is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and/or service, to the overall excellence of the academic community.

Candidates will be expected to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in the core areas of civil engineering. Applicants with a particular interest in transportation related courses are especially encouraged to apply. The successful hire will deliver foundational courses throughout the curriculum, including upper level civil engineering and construction engineering technology classes, associated laboratories and electives.
