Job summary and responsibilities follow.

• Packages, labels, and prices bakery products; maintains stock levels and product quality by monitoring dates, appearance, and storage temperature controls.
• Stock and rotate baked goods to adhere to quality control and food safety standards.
• Assist bakery personnel with preparing, packaging, labeling, and maintaining product displays.
• Promote product sales through suggestive selling.
• Stack pallets and sort product according to company efficiency standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work and shopping environment per safety procedures.
• Provide friendly, customer-service-oriented assistance by greeting customers, answering questions, and taking orders in person or by phone.

• Ability to read and operate digital equipment, meters, dials, and calibrated scales.
• Ability to safely operate equipment such as bread slicers and commercial ovens.
• Ability to learn new systems and processes; use precision and non-precision hand tools.
• Team-oriented with effective communication skills (written and verbal).
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to identify hazards and report or remedy them promptly with supervision as needed.

• Minimum age 18; drivers may be 21+ per policy.
• Food Handler certification required.
• On-the-job training typically involved.

• Close and distance vision, depth perception, and focus required.
• Stand or walk for extended periods; use hands for handling; able to lift up to 40 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Attendance at work required.

• Retail store environment with exposure to hot surfaces, cold and hot non-weather conditions, wet or damp surfaces, sharp blades, and cleaning agents.
• Quiet to moderate noise level.
