They help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing exceptional patient service.
Responsibilities- Live our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (e.g., production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, and drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, offering immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone, and resolving patient problems.
- Complete basic inventory activities, such as accurately putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, and waiting‑bin inventories.
- Contribute to a high‑performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge to better assist patients.
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, and volunteer to travel to stores in the market to work shifts as needed.
- Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles, ensuring patient safety and privacy.
- Deliver additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and volunteering to staff off‑site clinics) where allowable by law.
- Complete additional licensure and training to obtain Technician Immunizer status and support preparing and administering vaccines.
- Educate patients about the importance of vaccines and refer questions to the Pharmacist‑on‑duty.
- Monitor and respond to adverse reactions; report adverse reaction events per public health requirements.
- Review, collect, and document patient information for each applicable patient.
- Monitor and manage vaccine supplies.
- Comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which may include age, education, and licensure/certification.
- If no state minimum age is mandated, be at least 16 years of age.
- If no state minimum education is mandated, have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or a high‑school equivalency program.
- State‑level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state— to learn more.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.

- Concentrate on a task over time and pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
- Confirm prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety.
- Customer Service and Team Orientation
- Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner.
- Notice and understand patients’ reactions, responding appropriately.
- Communication Skills
- Use verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues.
- Utilize active listening: give full attention, ask questions, and avoid interrupting inappropriately.
- Mathematical Reasoning
- Use math to solve problems (e.g., calculating total tablets, daily supply, and bottles needed).
- Problem Resolution
- Identify challenging interactions and choose the best course of action.
- Physical Demands
- Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods.
- Lifting, scanning, and bagging items; reaching overhead; repetitive finger work.
- Move and lift items up to 20 lbs occasionally; up to 10 lbs frequently; and minimal force for other tasks.
- Communicate verbally for detailed instructions and receive oral information.
- Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager.
