• The Staff Accountant will work with the Assistant Controller to produce month-end journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis, and will provide financial analysis support, conduct comprehensive financial analysis on financial and operating results. Assist in the monthly and annual financial closings and adhere to financial policy, procedures, and internal controls. Prepares and maintains all supporting and supplemental financial work papers.

• Maintains and analyzes financial information to prepare month-end journal entries and provide support and documentation of business transactions.
• Support the monthly close process by preparing and reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivables process.
• Assist with auditing contracts, purchase orders, and vouchers for accuracy.
• Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
• Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures, recommending changes.
• Must maintain a high quality of documentation and work closely with divisional and corporate finance teams.
• Must maintain a manner of leadership and flexibility that diffuses pressure and promotes a team atmosphere.
• Communicate effectively across levels of the organization, building strong working relationships with colleagues, managers, and external stakeholders
• Escalate issues to the Assistant Controller in a timely and appropriate manner.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. A CPA designation (completed or in progress) is strongly preferred, as it demonstrates a high standard of technical expertise.
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience required, with exposure to audit, financial reporting, or tax. Experience with in a public accounting firm, particularly one of the Big 4 (Deloitte, PwC, EY, or KPMG), is highly valued.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and must be highly skilled in use of Excel Spreadsheets.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX (Axapta/DAX) 2009 or 2012 a plus.
• Proven analytical skills with ability to conduct independent research and analysis, identify issues, formulate options, and make recommendations.
• Detail-oriented with a high standard of accuracy and organization, while also able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.

• Limited travel to other company domestic locations in New York, NY, Pompano Beach, FL, and Sharon Hill, PA.
