Tableau Developer
We are seeking a skilled Tableau Developer to design, develop, and maintain engaging dashboards and reports that translate data into actionable insights. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders to translate reporting needs into effective visualizations and maintain high-performance data solutions.
Location & SalaryLocation:
Rutherford, NJ (NYC area).
Base Salary: $115,000 – $125,000 per year.
- Develop, implement, and optimize Tableau dashboards and reports to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand reporting needs and translate them into effective visualizations.
- Connect Tableau with various data sources, including databases, cloud services, and spreadsheets.
- Perform data analysis, validation, and cleansing to ensure accurate reporting.
- Optimize and tune Tableau workbooks for performance and usability.
- Maintain and update existing dashboards to reflect changing business needs.
- Document data flows, calculations, and dashboard functionalities.
- Train end‑users on utilizing dashboards and interpreting data insights.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Tableau reports and data discrepancies.
- Stay updated on Tableau features and best practices to enhance reporting capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
- 12+ years of experience as a Tableau Developer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server/Online, and Tableau Prep.
- Solid understanding of SQL and experience connecting Tableau to various data sources.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or R.
- Familiarity with other BI tools such as Power BI or Looker.
- Knowledge of database systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, or Snowflake.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.
