Were looking for a Multi Skilled Road Surfacing Operative to join our friendly team based out of Tarmac Ruthin Contracting in Ruthin, North Wales covering the North West of England and North Wales. As well as Ruthin, we have road surfacing gangs based in Salford, Merseyside, Wigan and Greater Manchester.

This is a hands on, safety critical role delivering high quality surfacing on some of the regions most important infrastructure.

What youll be doing

Reporting to the Gang Supervisor, youll be a key part of a multi-skilled surfacing team delivering works safely, efficiently and to specification. Your role will include:

• Operating road surfacing plant and equipment such as pavers, rollers, tractors, chippers and associated machinery
• Working with hot coated materials on live construction and highways environments
• Laying coated materials in line with specifications and BS tolerances
• Carrying out day-to-day plant checks and basic maintenance
• Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards
