The Lodge Trust CIO is a Christian charity based in Market Overton, Rutland, providing supported living, residential care, day opportunities, and work-based activities for adults with learning disabilities. As a Housekeeper, you will play an important role in maintaining clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environments across The Lodge Trust.

The role combines high-quality housekeeping within our residential homes with the preparation of our on-site holiday accommodation. Mondays and Fridays are designated cabin changeover days, where these will take priority. Where no changeover is required, you will undertake residential or other agreed housekeeping duties.

Working as part of the Facilities Team and under the direction of the Facilities Manager, you will take pride in maintaining excellent standards while respecting residents’ privacy, dignity, belongings, and home environment. This is a housekeeping role and does not include responsibility for personal care or direct care duties.

• Maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across allocated residential homes and agreed areas
• Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, lounges, dining rooms, communal areas, offices, staff rooms, and other agreed spaces
• Carry out vacuuming, floor cleaning, dusting, polishing, sanitising, and scheduled deep-cleaning duties
• Complete laundry duties, including washing, drying, ironing, and storing household linen and other items as required
• Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and appropriately
• On Mondays and Fridays, complete holiday cabin changeovers as a priority when required
• Thoroughly clean and prepare holiday cabins to an excellent hospitality standard for arriving guests
• Make beds, replace bedding and towels, and replenish toiletries, welcome packs, and housekeeping supplies
• Check that furniture, equipment, and appliances are clean, presentable, and operational
• Identify and promptly report maintenance issues, damage, missing items, or potential hazards
• Complete cleaning schedules and required records accurately and consistently
• Monitor and replenish cleaning materials, toiletries, and housekeeping consumables
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and maintain equipment in good working order in accordance with COSHH requirements
• Help maintain environments that are clean, uncluttered, comfortable, welcoming, and safe
• Follow infection prevention and control, Health & Safety, safeguarding, and confidentiality procedures
• Work collaboratively with the Facilities Team, liaising with colleagues regarding housekeeping priorities within residential homes
• Maintain professional, positive, and respectful relationships with residents, families, colleagues, visitors, and holiday guests
