About the RoleMy client are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator / Production Operative to jointheir growing production team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with CAD-controlled cuttingmachinery.
While experience within the flooring industry is advantageous, we welcome applications from candidates with CNC machine operating experience from manufacturing, engineering, signage, textiles,woodworking, plastics, or similar production environments.
This is a varied role that not only involves manufacturing products in our factory but also offers opportunities to attend customer sites to assist with the installation of the flooring and logo products youhave helped create. Commutable from Oakham, Melton Mowbray and Stamford.
Key Responsibilities - CNC Setter- Set up and operate CAD/CNC cutting machinery safely and efficiently.
- Load and position materials accurately for production.
- Produce bespoke flooring products to exact specifications.
- Assemble and bond cut sections using specialist adhesives.
- Carry out quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards.
- Read and interpret job sheets and production drawings.
- Perform routine machine checks and basic maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Work to production schedules while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.
- Assist with general production and warehouse duties as required.
- Occasionally travel to customer sites across the UK & Europe to assist with the installation of products and event flooring.
- Represent the company professionally while working on-site and ensure installations are completed to a high standard.
- Previous experience operating CNC, CAD-controlled or automated production machinery.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good computer literacy and confidence using machine software.
- Strong practical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- A flexible approach to work, including occasional travel and overnight stays when required.
- Experience with in the flooring, carpet, signage, textiles or manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of adhesives and product assembly techniques.
- Experience using CAD-controlled cutting equipment.
- Forklift licence (desirable but not essential).
- A full UK driving licence.
- Full training on our specialist machinery and products.
