Community Care Network is looking for a Child and Family Clinician/Intake Clinician to join our team!

About

The Role

The Early Childhood Intake Clinician is responsible for providing Clinical Assessment, brief Psychotherapy, Community Supports, Service Coordination and Consultation to children from the Early Childhood Mental Health and MMH/Peer Support referral list, and walk-ins. The Intake Clinician also meets the need for urgent assessments on a walk-in basis. The Intake Clinician will provide exceptional customer-service and psychoeducation to prospective and new client families.

The Intake Clinician will participate in community partner meetings as appropriate to facilitate relationships with referring parties. The Intake Clinician will interface with the agency Access Team as needed to stay up to date with agency practices and procedures for Intake, Assessment and service provision. The Intake Clinician assists case managers on the team with required Re-assessments. The Intake Clinician may work during nontraditional service hours to meet client needs.

The Intake Clinician will have a mixed case load that includes serving families with other evidence-based modalities, such as Parent Child Interaction Therapy, ARC (Attachment/Regulation/Competence) and other evidence-based treatment modalities. The Clinician provides services in accordance and as defined by the Vermont Department of Mental Health. The Clinician conducts these services in accordance with accepted professional and ethical standards. The Clinician works closely with other community partners and referral sources.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Provision of initial assessments, diagnostic evaluations to determine program eligibility, treatment recommendations, and case disposition.
  • Provide and document direct clinical services to children and their families in accordance with DMH Mental Health Provider Manual and Rutland Mental Health policies. Full description of the services and billing regulations are provided in your orientation manual. The position has been approved for the following types of service provisions:
    Clinical Assessment, Psychotherapy (Individual, family, couples, parent consults, group), Community Support, Care Management. Provide client centered, trauma informed, recovery-oriented care and services to clients.
  • Consistently meet targets for caseload clinical work and meet guidelines for monthly contact as determined by supervisor and department. (ex. 60% of workweek is direct billable services to recipients)
  • Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with clients, families, referral sources, and community partners.
  • Engagement in and acceptance of clinical supervision as well as team, department, and Agency staff meetings as provided.
  • Collaborate with program managers, clinical, and community support teams and care managers to provide client with smooth transition into services.
Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work of clinical mental health counseling required
  • Licensure as LCMHC, LICSW or related field preferred. Actively working toward licensure if not obtained and in compliance with Vermont Office of Professional Regulation timelines
  • Ability to work effectively in an often-conflicting environment that dictates high need of service with limited resource.
  • Ability to balance autonomy and work within team structure.
