As a Service Technician at New England Air Systems in our Rutland area, you will be on the front lines of delivering reliable, expert service to our commercial clients. In this role, you will respond to both routine and emergency calls along with perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of commercial heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring systems run efficiently and safely, keeping your service vehicle stocked and organized, and communicating regularly with dispatch to ensure smooth job flow. From detailed diagnostics to proactive customer support, your work will directly contribute to client satisfaction and system reliability.

In this role, you will be responsible for
  • Perform routine and emergency service on commercial heating and air conditioning equipment.
  • Perform routine and emergency service on commercial and process refrigeration systems.
  • Perform maintenance on commercial heating and air conditioning equipment.
  • Perform maintenance on commercial and process refrigeration systems.
  • Maintain assigned service vehicle.
  • Maintain inventory of parts in the assigned service vehicle.
  • Complete all timecards, work orders and purchase orders in timely manner.
  • Communicate regularly with the dispatcher regarding job information and status.
  • Be alert for new or additional services or products to be supplied to customers.
  • Follow up on customer’s questions or complaints promptly.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs. occasionally and 50 lbs. repetitively
  • Shall be in compliance with NEAS safety policies at all times, by wearing the proper PPE for each job task as required by VOSHA, OSHA, and NIOSH guidelines
  • The ability to climb and work from up to a 40-foot ladder

Qualifications
  • At least five years’ experience in commercial heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration service.
  • High school diploma
  • EPA Certification
  • Electrical Type S license
  • Natural gas certification
  • LP gas certification
  • NORA Silver oil certification
  • Valid driver’s license
