Heating & Refrigeration Solutions (HRS) is one of GEA's five divisions and specializes in industrial heating and cooling solutions for climate-friendly production processes in the food and beverage industry and other important sectors. Field Service Specialist.
Your responsibilities and tasks: As Field Service Specialist, you provide technical support within our own organization as well to (end) customers/installers via the Regions & Countries (R&C) service organizations for service work within the entire life cycle of the components and the correct settlement of warranty matters at both operational and as an administrative area.
Takes care of operational warranty and service cases.
Inspection of main GEA components at customers installations.
Initiates root cause analyses to determine the nature and cause of the malfunction.
Consults manuals, e-schemes, and refrigeration diagrams for this reason.
Eliminate defects by checking, repairing, replacing main components and O.E.M parts.
Is responsible for re-commissioning of the installation after maintenance & repair.
Informs customer and factory via Technical Service Support about the cause of the malfunction.
Shares advice to prevent recurrence of the fault by clear report of findings.
Your profile and qualifications: A minimum MBO 4 level, mechanical engineering, electrical and/or mechatronics.
Knowledge of process & installation technology.
General knowledge of refrigeration & heat pump technology, by education and experience.
Extensive knowledge of piston and screw compressors and components in general.
Knowledge and experience with ERP systems, e.g. SAP and MS office.
Strong communication skills, preferably in multiple languages (English is a must) (Dutch, German, are preferred).
