Southern Center for Equity Advancement and Immigrant Refuge's (SCEAIR) core mission is to advance the causes of and support immigrant communities and other marginalized groups through legal assistance, education and employment resources.

The organization currently is a Department of Justice (DOJ) recognized organization that provides immigration legal services through its DOJ accredited representatives with immigration legal matters before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) or Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The organization's mission is also to promote educational equity, so it offers educational support such as standardized test preparation for high school students, educational activities and informational sessions for international students and other noncitizens, and English as a Second Language (ESL) and civics lessons to assist immigrants or green card holders with the citizenship test.

The organization also regularly provides internship and volunteer opportunities in a wide range of areas to advance career and for professional development to various community members, including students, immigrants and those who lack opportunities.
