Power Engineer

Position: Power Engineer at Mount Allison University
Assume a crucial Power Engineer position at Mount Allison, specializing in the maintenance of steam distribution systems and emergency response. This dynamic role requires a strong mechanical background and the ability to work under pressure.
As part of the Building Maintenance and Heating Plant Operations, you’ll focus on maintaining high and low pressure steam systems, perform regular inspections, and update necessary equipment logs. Responsibilities also entail responding to emergency call-outs and conducting maintenance in confined spaces or at heights as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain steam distribution and condensate return systems

• Repair steam traps and associated components

• Log daily equipment maintenance activities

• Conduct routine inspections on mechanical systems

• Respond to emergencies outside of regular hours
Requirements:

• Must hold a valid New Brunswick Driver's License

• Class Three Power Engineer certification preferred

• Experience with steam system maintenance

• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs

• Capability to work physically demanding tasks
