Mount Allison Technical Event Coordinator

This position requires balancing artistic vision with technical execution in Convocation Hall and on-campus venues. You will oversee sound and lighting requirements, manage production logistics, and ensure the safety of patrons and participants. Leading a team of student technicians is an essential aspect, alongside engaging with external technical service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce and manage technical needs for events

• Supervise sound and lighting setups and operations

• Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions live

• Hire and guide student technicians during events

• Maintain safety and equipment integrity on-site

Requirements:

• Two years of post-secondary education mandate

• 1-3 years of relevant production experience

• Strong communication and team management skills

• First aid certification along with a valid driver's license

• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends with heavy lifting
