the Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to set up, maintain and operate production machinery. A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures are carried out safely and effectively to maximize equipment uptime and product quality.

The role will be an opportunity to be a part of a fast paced environment with autonomy to help assist with the scaling of a large manufacturing facility. The role will require effective communication skills and the ability to adapt to an ever changing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, monitor and adjust production related equipment to assure safe equipment operation and product quality
  • Control and adjust machine settings (flow, temperature, speed, etc.)
  • Maintain activity logs
  • Visually inspect product and verify product weight to ensure quality standards
  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
  • Loading of raw materials to the production lines
  • Transport raw materials and finished product from one place to another
  • Communicate with co-workers to ensure efficient production and deadlines are met
  • Assist with corrective measures to resolve machine issues that might occur during the shift
  • Equipment changeovers
  • Collaborate with Director of Operations on operating processes and issues
  • Assist with training and onboarding additional operators as we scale
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Management
Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Proven experience in manufacturing, as a machine operator preferred
  • Working knowledge of diverse production equipment and machinery
  • Understanding of production procedures and safety regulations
  • Analytical skills
  • Sharp attention to detail
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Self-driven and hard worker
  • Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Flexible to work shifts, overtime and weekends as required
  • Able to stand for long hours at a time
  • Physically able to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs.
Work Schedule

1st shift, 4×10 hour shifts
