California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) Financial Reporting and Accounting Services Division is seeking an Accounting Officer to provide professional accounting duties to support the Reconciliations Unit.
The Accounting Officer's duties include but are not limited to:
- Analyzes accounting data and transactions, identifies, researches, and analyzes errors and discrepancies and takes appropriate action to rectify reconciling items in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepares and posts journals entries to record the monthly accounting activity and any adjustments and/or corrections to general ledger.
- Creates and maintains supplier records in People Soft Financials for all program areas.
