In July 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025. This program temporarily reduces employees' monthly base pay in exchange for paid leave credits. This position is subject to PLP 2025 and will have a monthly base pay reduction of 3% in exchange for 5 hours of leave credits through June 2027. The salary ranges shown on this job posting do not reflect the salary reduction.

To be eligible for consideration, you must meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

1) Taken and passed the examination for this classification and be on a current certified list

2) Eligible to transfer.

3) Eligible to reinstate.

Special Requirements

* The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired. Additional information regarding acceptable typing tests is available at the  website.

Unacceptable Certificates:
Typing certificates issued by the Internet or Employment Agencies, and Typing Certificates issued for a typing test under five (5) minutes are not acceptable.

Typing certification must be 5 minutes in length and proctored either virtually or in person. Any State Agency/Department including the Agency/Department that you are applying to may also give you a typing test.

Acceptable certificate:

State departments will honor typing certificates issued within the last four years, and certified from a five (5) minute typing test that meets the CalHR requirements, with a minimum of 40 WPM (words per minute).  to see the typing certificate guideline and to locate an acceptable establishment near you

* If using education to meet Minimum Qualification, please attach your degree or transcripts.
