Global Intelligence & Analytics (GIA) team resides within the Risk & Valuations Services (RVS) unit of the S&P Global Market Intelligence Division, providing powerful business intelligence solutions for applications including global risk and maritime, global trade and supply chain, economic indicators and forecasts, and shipping intelligence. AboutThe Role
Grade Level (for internal use): 10
Subject Matter Experts provide front‑line client support to our valued subscribers, helping them apply S&P Global solutions to their specific business objectives. They partner with the commercial sales organization to showcase solutions, deliver training, and optimize investment impact.
Responsibilities and Impact- Develop a comprehensive understanding of prospects’ and customers’ workflows and needs to maximize the benefits of S&P Global solutions.
- Provide tailored demonstrations and training sessions to showcase GIA solutions’ value proposition, driving customer usage and product awareness.
- Manage escalated customer inquiries and act as the point of contact for complex issues that require in‑depth product knowledge, ensuring timely resolution while maintaining high satisfaction levels.
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of our data offerings, including sources, methodologies, and applications; serve as a go‑to resource for team members and clients regarding data‑related inquiries and best practices.
- Collaborate with clients to understand specific dashboard needs and design interactive, user‑friendly dashboards that provide actionable insights, tailoring them to regional requirements.
- Assist clients in setting up data feeds and troubleshooting integration issues, ensuring seamless connectivity.
- Work cross‑functionally to manage client and prospect requests, channel feedback, and improve products and processes, proactively working with the Sales team to develop client engagement initiatives and increase retention.
Anticipated base salary range: $64,320 to $88,268. Final base salary depends on location, experience, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. Eligible for an annual incentive bonus. Eligible for additional S&P Global benefits; more details at the company benefits page.

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, economics, international trade or finance, or comparable work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, verbal and written.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills; highly numerate and meticulous.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and phone presence; professional under pressure.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team.
- Ability to learn new products, interfaces, and processes quickly.

- Occasional domestic or regional international business travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior professional experience in similar positions is highly preferred.
- Bi‑lingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
- Experience with time‑series econometric modeling software such as Aremos, EViews, or Data Insight is highly preferred.
