HN- Live-In Nanny - Sacramento & Truckee, CA

Overview

A wonderful full-time single Mother is seeking a superlative live-in nanny for her sweet toddler. They reside in a gorgeous home in Sacramento most of the time during the week and in Lake Tahoe mainly on weekends. This role is full-time and does require weekend flexibility. For the right fit she is willing to see what works, but ideally she is seeking help Wednesday through Sunday (with Mondays and Tuesdays off).

Again, she can be flexible for the right schedule, but weekends are a very strong need and preference and those candidates will receive priority for this role. She is willing to do 1 weekend off a month for the right fit. The child is in full-time school so when the child is in school there will be some home management duties.

The nanny will have their own bedroom and bathroom on the other end of their large home in Sacramento (but on the same floor as it's a 1‑story home but very large in size). The nanny will also have own bedroom and bathroom in Tahoe. There is a private chef so the nanny does not need to cook and can eat what the chef prepares as well.

They are a healthy home so it is healthy, whole foods. They value this over fast‑food or junk food and it would be great if the candidate to hire embodies a healthy and active lifestyle as well. There is also a gym, sauna, and cold plunge as well as a large backyard.

Note:

hours TBD (the Mother is kind and flexible, it's just this role does require a bit of flexibility, but the Mother is involved and present so schedule is more about what works for both parties than a set‑in‑stone 8am‑5pm schedule). The role starts now.

• Being a wonderful, warm presence in the home; really partnering with the Mother and being helpful and an open, kind communicator

House Manager Duties (when not with the child):

• House Service Professionals–Assist in coordinating and overseeing house cleaning, repairs, and maintenance (e.g. ensuring pool cleaner gets access to enter if Mother is unavailable to do so)
• Groceries–Manage grocery inventory and restock as necessary or keep appropriate list. Make sure fridge stays orderly and organized (e.g. sauces where they belong, drinks restocked)
• Household Supplies–Manage household supplies and restock as necessary or keep appropriate list
• Seasonal Supplies–Help put up and take down and keep organized seasonal tasks (e.g. holiday decor, spring cleaning). Wrap presents. Packages–Accept and manage deliveries, maintain order in storage areas, return packages
• Car–Keep cars organized. Remove trash, refill appropriate child toys, water, snacks, and more in car.
• Errands–Run personal and professional errands (returns, post office, dry cleaning)
• Appointments–Support with maintaining and executing family appoints
• Meals–Meal Prep if necessary/food runs out from chef

• Licensed driver with a clean driving record
• Comfortable around dogs (hypoallergenic)
• Being warm, loving, and nurturing to the child; a kind Mary Poppins!

• Starting at $115k++ (will go higher for the best possible fit and personality who is most warm, helpful, flexible, and professional) as well as hefty experience in the toddler ages and any childhood development‑related degrees or certifications
