We have a current opening for a Project Manager to support Infrastructure projects. Locations:
Sacramento, CA or Pleasanton, CA.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with General Contractors, Project Owners, Subcontractors, and vendors to promote project success.
  • Be the point person from preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Delegate tasks to appropriate team members and ensure the project team understands the project.
  • Coordinate between Field Operations and Preconstruction (preplanning, prefabrication) and actively engage in implementing the project plan.
  • Review construction documents for inconsistencies and develop RFIs.
  • Perform detailed estimates of revised construction documents and provide clarifications with clear inclusions/exclusions.
  • Review and interpret specifications to understand project requirements, coordinate discrepancies with contract documents, redline and/or provide cost for items outside of design.
  • Create subcontracts during buyout from estimate; include terms and conditions that limit company risk and clearly identify scope inclusions/exclusions.
  • Partner with Contracts to review contract language and ensure milestones in the base bid schedule are achievable.
  • Identify long-lead items early and ensure procurement aligns with schedule milestones.
  • Setup project budget with Estimating to work toward buyouts and recognize actual costs in labor, material, subcontractor, equipment, and overhead cost.
  • Understand lump sum vs. unit price contracts.
  • Verify budget after upload for contract, budget, and billing accuracy in Spectrum.
  • Determine project labor tracking strategy and setup labor codes accordingly.
  • Gather hours from Superintendent and Foreman and verify with project team.
  • Monitor and manage procurement and construction schedule; escalate impacts and maintain documentation.
  • Collect field feedback to present accurate information for CTCs; create projections for CTCs and provide to Project Executive for review.
  • Prepare accurate monthly cost projections; monitor labor tracking and weekly look-ahead schedules to mitigate impacts to schedule or finances.
  • Oversee timely project documentation including submittals, RFIs, delay notices, potential claims, and extended overheads.
  • Maximize cash flow by balancing costs with project income, facilitating buyouts, and negotiating change orders with estimating and project teams.
  • Assist subcontractors with billings, change orders, and negotiations; coach engineers toward successful results.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least 5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of technical training and related experience.
  • Must understand the entire construction process from design to close-out; including bid analysis, budgeting, writing scopes of work, document interpretation, design-build and negotiated projects.
  • Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, complete tasks, and address issues in a timely manner.
  • Ability to delegate tasks to project team; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Accubid, Plan Grid, Pro Core.
