This is not an actual "construction estimator" role, but we are looking for Estimators or Construction Project Management backgrounds. This is a Senior Cost Segregation role and shares a very similar scope to construction estimating, property assessment, and building cost analysis. The firm specializes in helping clients take advantage of federal tax incentives such as Cost Segregation and 179D
. If you're unfamiliar with those terms, that’s totally okay.

Education & Experience- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Construction Management, Estimating, Engineering, Architecture, or related fields
. - Background in estimating, project management, construction accounting, AP, or cost analysis required.
- Prior Cost Segregation experience is great to have, but not required.
- Familiarity with MEP systems
, construction components, and estimating principles preferred. - Able to read and interpret building plans, contractor G702/703 applications, cost ledgers
, and supporting documentation.
Fully remote role - must be US based and ideally near a major airport! Estimating 30-40% travel regionally!
What You Will Do (Senior-Focused)You will support full lifecycle fixed-asset analyses by combining construction expertise with structured financial evaluation. Core responsibilities include:
- Travel to client properties to conduct onsite inspections
, document building systems, and capture asset details via photos and notes. - Build detailed building estimates using RS Means, Marshall & Swift, industry standards, and the firm’s proprietary tools.
- Analyze construction cost ledgers, payment applications, and general ledgers
; reconcile findings to accounting records. - Evaluate property data through appraisals, tax assessments, and as-built documentation
. - Prepare technical reports, schedules, and narratives that support cost segregation and depreciation classifications.
- Support fixed asset studies including cost segregation, repairs & maintenance, and depreciation modeling.
- Draft technical memoranda and participate in client communication, RFI resolution, and engagement documentation.
- Travel approximately 30–40% of the year.
