Base pay range$40.00/hr - $60.00/hr
Non Union Inspector – Sacramento, CATwining Consulting, Inc., an innovative engineering, testing, and inspection Company is seeking an Inspector to work based out of our Sacramento office. Candidate must be self-starting, be proactive, focus and detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Provide structural inspections of reinforced concrete; structural steel welding and bolting, structural masonry; spray-applied fireproofing.
- Provide grading observations; compaction testing on soils, aggregates, and asphalt.
- Document project grading activities.
- Provide sampling and Quality Control of concrete, rebar, shotcrete; mortar and/or grout.
- Report preparation of special inspections per CBC and in accordance with approved project documents.
- Provide as needed support to the Project Manager to ensure the approved testing program is fulfil based on the construction schedule and sequencing pertaining to this work.
- Maintain detailed documentation of inspection reports, laboratory testing reports and related project documents (including but not limited to responses to RFI, test results from materials and certification of materials; amended documents, deferred approvals, welding procedures; approved concrete mix designs, etc.).
- Nuclear gauge usage certification.
- ACI Field Technician Grade 1 License.
- ICC Soils Inspector License is a plus.
- ICC Reinforced Concrete License.
- ICC Structural Steel Welding and Bolting License.
- ICC Structural Masonry License.
- ICC Spray-applied Fireproofing License.
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector License is a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate clearly with coworkers, clients, consultants, contractors, and potential clients.
