Para educator-Independence Facilitator - 7 hrs/day (Las Palmas)
Position Summary: Provides individual behavior intervention and medical support to students in classroom settings. Assists individuals or small groups of students to enhance learning. Supports teachers with instruction and classroom management in special education and general education classrooms, lunchroom, and play field environs.

Employee Type: Full-Time
Salary: $20.33 - $26.87 per hour in 9 annual steps. Salary placement is based on experience.
Location: Las Palmas Elementary
Hours: 7 hours/day; 5 days/week
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Employee Life Insurance available for employees who work 4+ hours per day (Full district contribution for 6+ hours/day; 50% contribution for 4-5.99 hours/day).
Education and Experience: The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of a competency assessment demonstrating knowledge and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics. Completion of at least 48 college credit units may substitute for the competency assessment.

May require a valid driver’s license. Compliance with District skill/competency requirements. May require a valid First Aid/CPR card.
