POSITION TITLE: Instructor/Facilitator
OverviewThe College of Continuing Education (CCE) delivers academically grounded programs and services to diverse learners across California. Instructors/Facilitators design, develop, and deliver these programs, making continuing education a reality for adult and youth learners.
Responsibilities- Design and develop comprehensive programs and lesson plans for synchronous and asynchronous environments.
- Deliver training and services using approved curriculum.
- Facilitate interactive and engaging sessions for diverse organizations and learners.
- Assess learner understanding and adjust plans as needed.
- Collaborate with CCE and clients on organizational development solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices related to the field of expertise.
- Perform administrative duties as required.
- Other duties may be assigned based on departmental needs.
Hourly salary rates vary from $25.00/hour to $200.00/hour, determined by professional experience and educational background. Some offerings are paid based on course rank, unit quantity, and student enrollment.
Qualifications- A Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or relevant professional certification. One year of relevant experience may substitute for each year of required education.
- Experience providing training and/or facilitation to adult audiences in a classroom setting.
- Experience and proven expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design.
- Knowledge of strong andragogical practices for classroom organization, planning, and effective execution of instruction.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and dynamic presentation skills.
- Commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work and learning environment.
- Subject matter expertise in specific content area or discipline.
- For some assignments: advanced degree and/or terminal degree in content area or related discipline.
- Examples of content area experience include Leadership, Interpersonal Communications, Change Management, Conflict Management, Process Improvement, Project Management, and Coaching and Mentoring.
- Master’s Degree in a related field
- Certifications in a related field
