The Elementary Teacher delivers high‑quality instruction in a small school environment where every student is known and valued as an individual. • Establish a culture of high expectations and shared belief that every student will attend college.
• Develop and implement lesson plans and classroom activities aligned with California State Standards and Aspire Instructional Guidelines.
• Assess students regularly, analyze data, and refine instruction based on assessment results and student needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices; share best practices.
• Communicate regularly with students and their families about classroom activities and progress.
• Involve parents and guardians as partners in their students’ education.
• Manage student behavior to ensure full engagement.
• Actively participate in professional development and work closely with lead teachers, principal, and instructional coaches.
• Maintain accurate student records, including attendance.
• Identify unique student needs and collaborate with team members to address them.
• Support Aspire’s mission, vision, and core values.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

• Knowledge of child cognitive development and diverse learning styles.
• Knowledge of subject matter, California State Standards, and subject‑specific frameworks.
• Knowledge of assessments.
• Ability and willingness to implement Aspire Instructional Guidelines and best practices.
• Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative student data.
• Ability to reflect and improve instructional practices.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community partners.
• Computer and Internet search skills.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential required.
• English Language Learner Authorization required.
• 1+ year experience working with students (teacher, teacher intern, or teaching assistant) preferred.

• Move self in various positions to accomplish tasks in different environments.
• Remain stationary, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Move about to accomplish tasks or move between work sites.
• Assess accuracy and thoroughness of assigned work.
• Communicate with others to exchange information.
• Repeat motions involving wrists, hands, or fingers.
• Clear Department of Justice background screening.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide TB clearance, usually updated every four years.
