POSITION TITLE: Lecturer Pool – Public Policy and Administration
POSITION DETAILS: Possible part‑time openings for 2025-26 AY:
- PPA 230, Public Budgeting and Finance
- PPA 270, Introduction to Collaborative Policy Making
- PPA 272, Collaborative Governance Advanced Practice
- PPA 297 A/B, Executive Fellows
- PPA 298 A/B, Judicial Administrative Fellows

Duties: Instruction, class preparation, grading, and office hours. Assist students in identifying political factors that affect the policy process and coping with them. Emphasize the California political environment; employ case studies, role‑playing, and politically feasible policy alternatives. Equip students to work as policy analysts. Other duties may be assigned based on departmental needs.
Initial appointments typically one semester; may be for full academic year. Appointments renewed per department needs, funding, and performance.
Rank and Salary: Initial rank and salary based on experience and background, as determined by the hiring department.
- Lecturer A: $5,507–$6,677
- Lecturer B: $6,221–$13,224
- Lecturer C: $6,825–$14,523
- Lecturer D: $8,593–$15,211
Salary ranges are based on a full‑time rate of 15 WTUs. Semestral compensation is six payments of the prorated amount.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree with a minimum of three (3) years of related professional experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree with a minimum of five (5) years of related professional experience.
- Ph.D.
