The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is one of 58 county offices of education in California. SCOE staff work year-round providing services that complement and supplement those offered by public school districts in Sacramento County. SCOE provides technical assistance, curriculum and instructional support, staff development, financial advice, and oversight to Sacramento County school districts.
Salary and Benefits- Starting Salary: $23.81 hour with 5 annual incremental increases to $30.43

- Benefit allowance:
Up to $1,169.58 per month for single health coverage, $1,844.58 for 2-party, $2,044.58 for family (includes medical, dental, life, vision, and TSA options)
Under supervision of the appropriate administrator and general direction of the special education teacher, assists in the instruction and care of students with extensive support needs, including self-care activities, assisting in management of student behavior, recordkeeping, instructional assistance, medical care, classroom organization, and interaction and communication with students, support staff, parents/guardians, and agencies.
QualificationsPossession of a high school diploma or equivalent; any combination of training and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described, including previous experience working with groups of children; previous experience working with children or adults with extensive support needs highly desirable.
