One Royal Culture Short Story
We have a current opening for a VC Modeler III. This position can sit out of our Sacramento, CA office or Dallas, TX office.
The VC Modeler III is a senior-level contributor within the Virtual Construction team, responsible for leading complex modeling efforts, driving innovation in construction technology, and mentoring junior staff. This role ensures high‑quality deliverables, strategic coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and continuous improvement of modeling standards and workflows.
Responsibilities- Lead modeling efforts for large‑scale or high‑complexity projects.
- Develop and enforce modeling standards across projects.
- Ensure models reflect constructability, field conditions, and client expectations.
- Oversee project planning tools and ensure alignment with deliverable timelines.
- Identify and implement advanced workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Represent the company in high‑level coordination meetings with clients and trades.
- Resolve complex coordination issues with minimal impact to cost and schedule.
- Lead conflict resolution strategies and ensure constructability of final models.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders to facilitate collaboration.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, eVolve
Electrical, Trimble, Bluebeam, and other relevant software. - Lead training sessions and mentor team members on software and technology usage.
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance department capabilities.
- Provide expert review of plans, specs, submittals, and codes.
- Lead development of prefab assembly details and collaborate with field operations.
- Identify and champion new prefab opportunities and construction methods.
- Share trade knowledge broadly across the team and organization.
- Lead coordination efforts with field operations and project management.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with all stakeholders.
- Maintain and enforce digital workspace and file management standards.
- Set and track goals for self and team members, providing regular feedback and guidance.
- 10+ years of experience in Virtual Construction or related field.
- Advanced proficiency in construction modeling software.
- Strong understanding of electrical trade and construction methods.
- Proven leadership and mentoring experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Ability to troubleshoot minor software issues independently.
- Possess a strong attention to detail and organization.
- Effectively communicate with team members and key project stakeholders.
- Ability to read and understand plans, specs, submittals, and codes to perform work.
Physical Requirements
- Must wear proper PPE while on jobsites.
- Must comply with all safety standards and procedures.
- Sit, stand, and walk during the duration of the workday.
- Will lift, carry, push, pull, kneel, crouch, and reach.
- $55.25/hour - $62.50/hour
