Position: Final Assembly and Testing (FAT) & Field Service Engineer

Description

Join our team and bring technology to life.
We are seeking a versatile and hands-on engineer to join our team in a dual role covering both Final Assembly and Test (FAT) and Field Service for our advanced scientific equipment. This role involves building and testing instruments in-house, as well as traveling internationally to install, service, and support systems at customer sites.

What You’ll Do

In-House (Final Assembly & Test):

  • Assemble and wire scientific instruments according to drawings and specifications.
  • Perform system testing, calibration, and quality checks prior to shipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during assembly or FAT.
  • Complete documentation, test reports, and checklists.

Field Service:

  • Install and commission equipment at customer locations worldwide.
  • Provide maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and technical support on-site or remotely.
  • Train end users on system operation and basic maintenance.
  • Collaborate with engineering and support teams to address customer feedback and technical issues.
  • Maintain detailed service records and travel reports.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Technical background in electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with scientific or laboratory equipment is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally (up to 50–75%).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
