Mechanical Engineer ; Graduates

Overview

Mechanical Engineer 1  Graduates!) at CDM Smith. This role involves working with a dynamic team of industry leading engineers on a diverse portfolio of public, federal, and industrial projects. Under direct supervision, creates engineering designs including HVAC systems master planning & studies; HVAC & Plumbing systems; mechanical systems (co-generation); sustainability/energy efficiency/renewable energy/green buildings; etc. of basic complexity to meet client project requirements.

• Develop and review designs to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and firm policies.
• Perform site reviews and studies to align designs with location specifications; update design requirements as necessary.
• Contribute to the firm’s Technical Knowledge Management (TKM) by developing white papers and technical design documentation for new or special case designs, studies, etc.; submit technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals.
• May create or collaborate on posters or other presentation materials for conferences.

• Bachelor s degree in Mechanical, Architectural or Chemical Engineering, or in Engineering Technology or related discipline. 0 years. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Skills And Abilities:
  
  Basic knowledge of computer aided design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Basic knowledge of engineering design principles. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.). Good written and verbal communication skills.

  Minimum $72,259;
  Maximum $119,205. Additional pay range information and other compensation details are provided by the company and vary by location and responsibilities.
