Civil Engineering, Operations Manager, Structural Engineer
You want the kind of Project Manager role where your experience is respected, your judgment matters, and your decisions directly influence complex structural concrete projects.
You are motivated by challenging technical work, complex coordination, and the satisfaction of shaping multi-level concrete structures from planning through field execution.
You want to work in an environment where you can walk into leadership’s office, make decisions quickly, and see the immediate impact of your experience.
This is your opportunity and gives you the autonomy, influence, and respect of an experienced builder — with long-term potential including ownership consideration for the right person.
If you enjoy being in the field 1–2 days per week but also enjoy working most time in the office, if you thrive on solving problems in real time, and if you want to work with a small team delivering big, technically demanding projects across Northern California, this Project Manager opportunity aligns with exactly how you want to work.
Job Duties- Support concrete construction projects from engineering through field execution, ensuring drawings, materials, communication, and documentation stay accurate and up to date, working on up to 3 projects at a time (1 in preconstruction, 1 active project, and 1 in close out).
- Support AutoCAD and shop drawing updates under direction of senior engineering and project leadership.
- Prepare and update drawings for complex structural projects.
- Review and track RFIs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor schedules to ensure the project stays on time.
- Conduct regular job walks and field visits (1–2 days per week) to verify progress and resolve issues.
- Manage project budgets and track costs.
- Coordinate materials and deliveries to ensure on‑time arrival at job sites.
- Assist with field coordination and problem‑solving.
- Complete project close‑out activities including final job walks, documentation, and project review.
You will work in the office and visit job sites throughout Northern California (plan for 1–2 days a week in the field).
You Have (Required Skills, Experience & Team Fit)- A strong background managing complex construction or structural concrete projects, from drawings through field execution.
- Prior experience working with AutoCAD and Revit software.
- The ability to coordinate engineering, field teams, schedules, materials, and budgets with accuracy and ownership.
- A mindset aligned with a smaller, closely held company — you prefer direct access to decision makers, no corporate politics, and the ability to move quickly.
You might have (desired, not required):
- Civil Engineering or Construction Management background (degree or field experience—either is valued).
- Hands‑on field experience in structural high rise concrete work / form work / build in the air.
- Prior experience working with a GC in structural concrete.
- EIT, with a desire to get your Professional Engineer stamp (we can help!).
Your compensation will be $120,000 to $160,000 base salary, depending on your experience level. Plus incentive profit share bonus.
You will receive 100% employer‑paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your entire family, offering premium coverage with no payroll deductions. 401k with company match and profit share, paid holidays, paid time off, mileage/auto reimbursement, and more.
Compensation$120,000-$160,000 per year
This role requires successful completion of a background check, clean driving record and drug test prior to start date.
