The Division of Engineering Services (DES), Program/Project Management and Office Engineer (PPM&OE) is recruiting to fill a Senior Transportation Engineer (Specialist) position located in Sacramento. The incumbent works under the Office Chief, Office of Project Delivery & Structure Contract Management, and is responsible for project management, technical project development, engineering practices, cost estimating, scheduling, team‑building, conflict resolution, and communication. Responsibilities include coordination with District Project Managers, DES Functional Units, and Deputy Division Chiefs to identify and negotiate project workload and schedules, monitor and communicate delivery status, facilitate resolution of project delay issues, develop recommendations for action, and identify methods for enhancing communication between the DES and Districts.
Travel is required.
Special requirements:
- Active Professional Engineering License issued by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers.
- Valid driver’s license when operating a state‑owned or leased vehicle.
- Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) required.
