AboutThe Role
We are seeking a highly specialized Senior Scheduler for forensic claims to join our Project Controls and Project Financial Office in Fresno, CA. This critical role will focus on forensic delay analysis, schedule evaluation, and claims assessment for one of the nation’s most ambitious public works projects. The ideal candidate will investigate delays, assess contractor claims, and contribute to dispute resolution, providing a significant impact on program schedule integrity and risk mitigation.
Responsibilities- Perform detailed forensic delay analyses, develop delay causation narratives, and produce summary reports identifying delay responsibility and impacts.
- Analyze contractor‑submitted Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) and schedule‑related claims to assess validity and quantify time extension requests.
- Maintain the program schedule, including updates to data, duration adjustments, and documentation of basis and assumptions.
- Evaluate the critical path and near‑critical activities, develop what‑if schedules and scenario analyses to support forecasting and risk mitigation strategies.
- Assist in developing rebuttal documentation and participate in claims review meetings to support dispute resolution efforts.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Project Construction Managers (PCMs) and financial analysts, to assess cost implications of delays and extensions.
- Mentor and provide technical oversight to junior and mid‑level scheduling staff as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 5 years in forensic scheduling or claims analysis.
- Demonstrated expertise in Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong working knowledge of delay analysis methodologies such as Windows Analysis, Time Impact Analysis, Impacted As‑Planned, and Collapsed As‑Built.
- Proven experience developing and reviewing construction schedules from preliminary designs, with knowledge of rail and roadway infrastructure, including structures, staging, and systems integration.
- Familiarity with contractual claims management, construction documentation, and dispute resolution practices.
- Professional Scheduling Certification (e.g., AACE PSP, PMI‑SP).
- Advanced experience in delay analysis specifically for transportation or rail infrastructure projects.
- Experience with large‑scale capital programs and understanding of public‑sector infrastructure delivery.
- Familiarity with cost management systems and integrated project controls software.
