Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a talented mid-level Geologist for immediate employment in the Sacramento area. The successful candidate will research and solve technical problems in accordance with accepted practice and methodology. The individual will report to and be guided by one or more project managers and senior technical staff in the execution of field work at project sites, and assist with gathering and analyzing geological, hydrogeological, and geochemical data in both the field and office settings.
The candidate must possess their own personal vehicle for travel to and from job offices.
This position will possibly require frequent travel to locations within the continental U.S., Alaska, and Hawaii, in addition to possible travel for work outside of the U.S. Travel assignments may be one to four weeks in duration.
The individual will work on both field and office tasks. In the field, the individual will use established technical approaches and methods to collect data. In the office, the individual will work independently to evaluate the data and present the results for less complex projects, and support more senior staff in the technical analysis and reporting for projects of greater complexity.
With greater experience, the individual will analyze issues and develop solutions to technical problems. The individual will gain knowledge from direct experience and working with more senior staff and gain increasing responsibility to apply their technical knowledge and experience to implement strategies and support design and delivery of products to meet customer and business needs.
