Concrete Field Technician – Geotechnical and Concrete Inspections in the Sacramento/Stockton area.
Base pay range$30.00/hr - $45.00/hr
LocationSacramento/Stockton, CA
Responsibilities- Perform field testing, sampling, and inspection of concrete and soils in accordance with established procedures and standards.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely field reports on the results of the tests and inspections.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure that all materials and workmanship meet the project specifications and quality standards.
- Assist in the evaluation of field and laboratory test data and provide recommendations based on the findings.
- Monitor and document construction activities related to soil and concrete work.
- Maintain and calibrate all testing equipment to ensure accurate results.
- Provide technical assistance to the project team and clients as needed.
- Comply with all safety procedures and regulations on the construction site.
- Participate in continuous learning and professional development activities to stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a Concrete Field Technician, Geotechnical Engineer, or a similar role.
- A valid ACI certification is required.
- Proficiency in using various testing equipment and tools.
- Strong understanding of construction materials and methods, particularly concrete and soils.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to prepare detailed and accurate reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to various construction sites as needed.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Strong commitment to ensuring safety and quality on the job site.
