Elevated role within the design and execution of plumbing systems across commercial projects. This position will lead the creation of conceptual designs that adhere to Building Codes, Energy Codes, and LEED standards, with responsibilities spanning project planning, design, and field engineering support.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Complete project planning, coordination, and execution with some oversight
- Independently produce conceptual designs through construction drawing development for multiple small and medium-sized projects simultaneously
- Create designs certified to Building Codes, Energy Codes, and LEED standards
- Conduct plumbing calculations, design and layout of equipment, and plumbing systems on assigned projects
- Apply knowledge of commercial plumbing applications such as gas piping, waste and vent, domestic water distribution, and kitchen plumbing design
- Engage engineering applications and/or managers in project decisions
- Communicate and coordinate project designs with Project Management, Construction and Service departments, Controls, and other trade partners
- Conduct economic and energy analyses
- Assist with project execution, trade coordination, scheduling, document management and problem solving on the field as required
- Ensure quality of design drawings and models
- Effectively and professionally communicate with colleagues and project team members
- Manage time to meet project schedules and task deadlines
- Oversee other design team members to complete assignments when requested by Manager
- Adhere to ACCO engineering standards and project execution processes
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager
- BS in Engineering or Construction Management
- Professional Engineer license highly desirable, but not required
- 3+ years of experience with a Design/Build Mechanical Contractor or consultant
- Excellent understanding of engineering and design fundamentals
- Thorough understanding of systems and applications
- Excellent familiarity with Building Codes and industry standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit

Non-exempt position from Monday through Friday. Work hours generally begin and end between 7:00 am or 8:00 am and 4:00 pm or 5:00 pm, with one‑hour lunch break and two rest breaks. Eight hours per day required; additional overtime may be necessary per business needs.
