Senior Electrical Engineer

TYG is partnering with an established East Coast engineering consultancy who are looking to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer as an integral growth hire for its Los Angeles office. The firm brings together specialists across building systems, technology, lighting and commissioning to deliver coordinated engineering solutions.

This opportunity combines technical design with project management and client engagement. You’ll help develop engineering concepts, resolve design challenges and guide assignments through project milestones, working independently and alongside colleagues across disciplines.

• Manage electrical engineering assignments, plan delivery schedules and coordinate deliverables to meet project deadlines.
• Develop electrical system concepts into detailed layouts, calculations, drawings and construction documentation using Revit.
• Contribute to proposals and maintain productive relationships with clients.
• Coordinate with mechanical engineers and the wider design team to resolve technical issues and spatial constraints.
• Review equipment specifications, product information and vendor requirements to support design decisions.
• Prepare preliminary layouts for discussion with project leadership and communicate potential problems early.
• Participate in client, vendor and internal coordination meetings.
• Visit project sites to assess existing conditions and verify information needed for design.
• Maintain organised technical records, calculations and project correspondence.

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• A Professional Engineer licence.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit.
• A sound understanding of electrical engineering principles, system design and spatial coordination.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a professional approach to clients and colleagues.
