Job Description And DutiesThe Analyst will receive direct supervision from the Manager of the Energy and Climate Unit, and general program direction from the Deputy Director of the Energy and Climate Unit. This position is responsible for providing analytical and administrative functions that support the work of the Energy and Climate Unit. Key duties include: tracking key data on clean energy infrastructure projects; reviewing and analyzing sensitive materials and applicable rules/laws;
keeping team members informed of pending legislation and relevant informational updates that could impact projects; and performing less complex administrative duties as assigned.

Working ConditionsHybrid: the position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule and requires reporting in person at headquarters in Sacramento two times a week. As a result of the Governor’s recent executive order, GO-Biz employees may be required to come into the office in Sacramento at least four times a week, projected to be effective July 1, 2025.

GO-Biz offers services to business owners including attraction, retention and expansion, site selection, permit streamlining, small business assistance, international trade development, and more. The Energy & Climate Unit accelerates planning, financing, and execution of critical energy infrastructure projects to meet the state's climate, energy and sustainability policy goals.
