Responsibilities

The Associate Governmental Program Analyst supports the Administrative, Reporting, and Quality Assurance Section of the Division of Water Rights. Primary duties are described in the attached Duty Statement, which includes program analysis, data reporting, quality assurance, and administrative tasks related to water resource programs.

Minimum Requirements
  • Eligibility to be considered requires a current and valid State of California driver’s license if the position requires driving.
  • Essential personal qualifications include integrity, initiative, dependability, good judgment, and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Position requires the ability to perform the duties of the classification as outlined in the Class Specification.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze and synthesize information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience with contract management, budgeting, and procurement.
  • Experience developing and implementing business policies and procedures.
  • Experience managing complex projects with multi‑year timelines.
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to revise organizational business rules and processes.
