Under the direction of the Communications Director, the Administrative Analyst (Analyst II) supports Cal Recycle’s mission to cut waste and protect California’s environment. The role manages essential administrative functions, contracts, and language access services so all communities can receive the information they need.
- Handle contracts and procurement, including translation and interpretation services.
- Track budgets and support HR processes.
- Coordinate public meetings and executive calendars.
- Respond to public inquiries and post internal department updates.
- Assist with foreign delegation vetting and research.
This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail‑oriented, and wants to make a difference in California’s move to a waste‑free future. It may be eligible for hybrid telework under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California, subject to telework eligibility criteria set forth in the CalEPA telework policy and/or future program need. Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework.
Regardless of telework eligibility, all employees may be required to report to the position’s designated headquarters location, as indicated on their duty statement, at their own expense. Beginning July 1st, 2026, it is anticipated the position will be office‑centered and employees will be expected to report to the office at least four days per week.
