Sierra Vista Hospital is part of the UHS Family of Providers, offering clinical expertise in behavioral health, dual diagnosis, inpatient alcohol detox, and outpatient chemical dependency services across Northern and Central California. The Patient Account Representative is a full‑time role responsible for submitting electronic and manual billings, account statements, and following up with third‑party payers and patients for outstanding balances. The position also handles daily cash receipts and maintains insurance logs.

• Prepare and submit insurance billings to primary and secondary payers.
• Transmit all billings to third‑party payers, either manually or electronically as requested.
• Provide assistance in contacting third‑party payers 30 days after billing to ensure bills have been received and are being processed.

Education: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Two years prior collections experience in a hospital setting recommended; psychiatric experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal skills; ability to deal effectively with all levels of hospital management and the public.
• Average to high math skills.
• Prior experience with online Admission/Billing system desirable.
• Knowledge of third‑party payment procedures, managed care, and government programs strongly recommended.
• Good communication skills and ability to problem‑solve.
• Knowledge of credit, collection, and confidentiality laws highly desirable.
