Job SummaryThe Assistant Program Director reports to the Program Director and is responsible for providing specialized services that assist residents of the Enhanced Behavioral Support Home in achieving their treatment goals. The role coordinates day‑to‑day activities, client care, and compliance under the supervision of the Program Director.
Essential Responsibilities- Assist in implementing residents’ treatment plans and maintain accurate case documentation.
- Transport residents to medical appointments, laboratories, and other services.
- Conduct daily living skills sessions and facilitate re‑socialization activity groups.
- Attend staff meetings, supervision meetings, conferences, and in‑service trainings.
- Motivate residents to develop self‑reliance and observe physical condition changes.
- Ensure staffing ratios are maintained, handle emergencies, and maintain Title 17 and 22 compliance.
- Track, code, and submit all invoices; verify staff documentation and program implementation.
- Communicate with residents, families, caseworkers, and regulating agencies.
- Support client‑to‑staff ratio, conduct monthly direct‑report meetings, and maintain company property.
- Apply emergency health protocols and manage staff timecards, PTO, and California rest and meal periods.
- Minimum two years of direct care or supervision experience with developmentally disabled residents.
- Registered Behavior Technician, licensed psychiatric technician, or Qualified Behavior Modification Professional (certification required within 60 days of hire).
- Must complete group administrator class (40 hours) and residential service provider orientation within 3 months.
- Resident availability:
Thursday–Monday schedule, including evening hours (11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.). - Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass criminal background, physical, drug screen, and TB test.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification, intermediate computer skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and communication platforms.
- Effective written and spoken English communication, including progress reporting.
- Experience working with diverse populations and applying principles of developmentally disabled care.
