Behavioral Health Provider Quality Manager – Northern California

Base pay: $75,200 – $112,800 per year.

Location:

Sacramento, Shasta, or Humboldt counties. The role combines virtual work and in‑field client visits, with required travel within Northern California.

• Lead provider engagement and improve clinical and quality outcomes for Carelon members.
• Build relationships with BH providers, internal clinical and quality departments, state agencies, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders.
• Support provider training on Carelon processes, credentialing, and linkages for issue resolution.
• Analyze provider reports on cost, utilization, and outcomes, identify outliers, and develop improvement actions.
• Participate in quarterly physician record reviews and assist with provider orientations and training events.
• Collaborate with Carelon clinical, quality, provider strategy, operations, and claims teams.
• Partner with network providers to operationalize innovative programs and online resources to improve outcomes.

• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare, including 5 years in a behavioral health setting.
• Current, valid, independent, and unrestricted license (RN, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist).
• Master’s degree or above in Behavioral Health or related field.
• Strong data analysis and communication skills.

• Behavioral health experience and managed‑care experience.
• Residency in Shasta, Humboldt, Solano, or Sonoma counties.
• Willingness to travel to work sites as needed.
