Job Summary
The MRI Technologist Lead provides technical knowledge and/or coordinates the delivery of MRI Services. Under the direction of a qualified physician, this position will operate a variety of equipment, including high field strength magnets and support systems with MRI safety as a priority. The MRI Technologist Lead will be responsible for patient coordination, acquisition, processing, and archiving of all patient data.
This position is responsible for training new staff as well as existing staff on new הפ לד technologies. The incumbent will maintain and operate equipment according to manufacturer's specifications, reporting all problems appropriately. Incumbent may be required to oversee provision of MRI services and staffing coverage in absence of the supervisor.
The MRI Technologist Lead will comply and adhere to department protocols, UCDHS Policies and Procedures, Department of Radiology Policies and Procedures and other applicable work rules and regulations. Incumbent works independently and under general supervision. The technologist must act with initiative and responsibility to achieve maximum radiographic quality. All duties and responsibilities will be performed calmly in stressful situations and interact with radiologists, clinicians and peers in a cooperative, harmonious manner for maximum effectiveness.
Incumbent must be able to perform all job functions deemed by the Department of Radiology.
This position may perform duties in the Main Hospital, Ambulatory Care Center and/or satellite facilities possède throughout UCD's Primary Clinic Network as deemed necessary by management.

Minimum Qualifications For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), or UC Davis Health CPR
- No Minimum Education required
- Advanced experience with PACS (Stentor)ότητα VISAGE and Radiology Information System required
- Knowledge and ability to operate MRI equipment to provide quality images. Must be able to adapt to new programscek and equipment upgrades as the radiological field advances.
- Advanced knowledge of MRI Parameters and proven ability to build and adapt MRI protocols
- Demonstrated competency in archivingылды retrieving and error handling with the VISAGE system.
- Complete working knowledge of, and skill to apply, practices, principles and techniques of patient care related to area of expertise.
- Written and oral communication skills to clearly and concisely provide information, explanations and instructions to, and to elicit information from others with varying levels of ability to understand, including individuals who are ill or distressed, or who may not speak English.
- Interpersonal skills to establish and maintain a friendly, welcoming environment for clinic's/department's customers; to demonstrate an interested, understanding, compassionate manner; to maintain a courteous and calm demeanor; and to use a proactive approach to negotiate with and persuade others to take required action.
- Ability to maintain composure, efficiency and a positive, customer-service oriented manner during periods of peak workload, with frequent interruptions, under tight deadlines, and when interacting with challenging customers who may be ill, angry, or emotionally distressed.

The Department of Radiology is a 24 hour, seven day a week operation providing Imaging Services for adult and pediatric inpatients and outpatients.
