Initial Review Lead Analyst (ANALYST II)
Salary: $6,031.00 – $7,547.00 per month.
The Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) is dedicated to ensuring health plan members have access to equitable, high‑quality, timely, and affordable health care. This position functions within the Initial Review Unit (IRU) to audit, screen, analyze, and triage Independent Medical Review (IMR) applications and complaints against licensed health plans, including dental, vision, mental health, and specialized plans.
Job Description & DutiesActIENTO role шеb as a subject‑matter expert and lead capacity staff to perform case audits, analyze cases, and develop training material within the Initial Review Section (IRS). Implement, monitor, and evaluate health program activities and provide guidance on program evaluation and training.
Minimum Requirements- Classification: ANALYST II
- Knowledge of principles, practices, and trends in health care insurance.
- Experience working in health programs/program operations.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, customer‑service‑oriented environment, organizing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Experience leading teams and managing a high volume caseload.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to resolve complex issues independently within a short timeframe.
- Proficiency with personal computers and standard office software (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
