Medical Assistant – One Community Health Sacramento

Full‑time position located at the Midtown Sacramento clinic (95811). Provide patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager and physicians, as an active member of the clinic care team. Universal precautions are required at all times.

• Prepare and/or position the patient for examination by physician and/or nurse practitioner മത്സ.
• Explain the basics of what to expect during the visit, answer questions, ease fears, and reassure and relax the patient.
• Take height, weight, blood pressure and vital signs and document wusw in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) vital template.

• Obtain specimens, conduct EKGs, urinalysis and other tasks related to this position, recording information and outcomes in the EMR as directed by provider or nurse practitioner.
• Administer injections and medications as indicated by a written order from the provider or nurse practitioner, following the five rights of medication administration (right patient, right route, right dose, right time, right medication). Medication expiration dates are also checked.
• Observe the patient for reactions following tests, medication, or procedures. Notify the physician or nurse practitioner immediately of baseline changes in the patient’s status or follow emergency procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant certification indicating completion of a one‑year program at college or technical school.
• Active CPR and BLS certification.
