Payroll Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our construction team. This role is responsible for processing payroll for field and office employees, ensuring compliance with prevailing wage laws, union agreements, and certified payroll reporting requirements.

Base pay range

$24.00/hr - $27.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Process weekly or bi-weekly payroll for construction employees.
  • Verify timecards, job codes, and wage rates for multiple job sites.
  • Ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws.
  • Prepare and submit certified payroll reports for government-funded projects.
  • Handle payroll tax filings and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and benefits.
  • Collaborate with project managers and HR to confirm labor hours and classifications.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and assist with audits.
Qualifications
  • Experience:

    2+ years of payroll experience, preferably in construction.
