Technical Support, Systems Analyst, IT QA Tester / Automation, Data Analyst
The Test Lead Analyst is a leased employee engagement designed to provide expert testing services for SMUD's ADMS/OMS Monarch and Compass (OSI Aspen Tech ADMS platform) software and applications. The role involves enhancing and maintaining these systems through collaboration with stakeholders to develop testing criteria, conduct testing, perform debugging, and document findings including root cause analysis.
Key responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving application issues by coordinating with vendors and end users for bug resolution. The analyst participates in day-to-day testing activities such as team meetings, creating testing artifacts, and communicating results with other team members and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
Specific tasks encompass writing and executing test scripts for various applications and interfaces, developing executable test plans based on business and functional requirements, and performing functional, end-user, integration, regression, and performance testing. The role also includes data clean-up work post-testing (reviewing, correcting, deleting, and re-entering data), recording and documenting results against expected outcomes, and managing issues/defects by isolating, replicating, reporting, and verifying fixes.
Additionally, the resource occasionally provides end-user support for work groups using OSI Aspen Tech solutions. The role requires strong communication skills to present technical information to nontechnical users and the ability to establish positive, cooperative working relationships with SMUD colleagues.
