Russian Interpreter (Sacramento, CA) – Interlingva, Inc. (Independent contractor, flexible schedule).

The interpreter will provide professional interpreting services primarily in healthcare settings. Assignments are based in Sacramento, CA or the Greater Sacramento Area and are available on a regular basis, depending on the demand for specific languages and the interpreter's qualifications.

• Provide accurate, complete, and clear interpretation in medical settings, with fidelity to the original communication.
• Interpret orally between Russian and English in both directions.
• Work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
• Meet the communication needs of medical professionals, patients, government agencies, community organizations, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain professional standards and adhere to applicable medical clearances and regulatory requirements as needed.

• Fluency in both Russian and English
• Must reside in Sacramento, CA or the Greater Sacramento Area
• Demonstrated experience providing interpretation in medical, legal, and community settings
• Strong ability to interpret orally between Russian and English in both directions
• Proven ability to work with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
• Combination of formal interpreter training and/or relevant professional experience
• Willingness to obtain required medical clearances, including vaccination/immunization records and background checks, as necessary
• Possession of a valid California license
